Building the Road to Success

The Cirrus SR22 from Cirrus Aircraft is an improvement over the SR20, featuring a larger wing, higher fuel capacity and a 310-horsepower engine which enables the craft to reach speeds of up to 614 mph. This makes the aircraft capable of flying from Phoenix to Denver in just under an hour.

The Cirrus SR22 also comes with the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System, which can help the place safely reach the ground in an emergency. This, coupled with the above improvement, led to the Cirrus SR22 being one of the most-produce aircraft of the 21st century.

This 2014 model has air conditioning, an upgraded leather interior and satellite radio.

Around the World in 70 Days

One of the more notable flights involving an SR22 was from Ryan Campbell. At age 19, he took his own jet, Spirit of Sapphire Coast, and flew around the globe. He returned after 70 days, and was awarded the title of being the youngest pilot to fly around the world solo.
